This Privacy Policy explains how Crucible Fit, LLC (“Crucible,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you access or use our mobile applications, websites, merchandise offerings, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
Section 1
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies when we collect information from or about you through the Services, including when you create an account, sign in, use workout features, connect health or fitness data, contact support, purchase or restore a subscription, place a merchandise order, or otherwise interact with us.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, platforms, or providers that maintain their own privacy policies, including Apple, Google, app marketplaces, device manufacturers, health-data frameworks, analytics providers, or commerce and fulfillment providers, except to the extent they act on our behalf.
Section 2
The Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
We may collect information you provide directly to us, such as:
- name, if provided through your sign-in provider;
- email address, if provided through your sign-in provider;
- account and profile information;
- the public handle you choose, and the version of our community standard you agreed to when you chose it;
- the names of crews or gyms you start, and the crews and gyms you join;
- reports you file about other users or their content, and the users you block;
- workout notes, comments, and related content;
- customer support messages and correspondence;
- feedback, testimonials, and other content you submit;
- shipping and order information for merchandise purchases, where applicable.
B. Authentication Information
If you sign in through Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or another supported authentication provider, we may receive identifiers and profile details that provider makes available to us, which may include your name, email address, and provider-specific account identifiers.
C. Workout and Training Information
We may collect and store information related to your use of the training features of the Services, including:
- workout history;
- selected exercises;
- completed sessions;
- sets, reps, load, and RPE;
- plan usage;
- notes and logs;
- workout exports and related history.
D. Health, Fitness, and Device Data
If you grant permission, we may read from and write to health, fitness, workout, and related data frameworks available on your device, including Apple Health on iOS and supported Android health-data frameworks made available through the app’s supported packages and permissions.
On Android, Crucible reads from Health Connect and does not write to it. The data types we read, how each is used, and our Limited Use commitment are set out in the “Health Connect on Android” section of our Consumer Health Data Notice. The use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Depending on your device, permissions, and supported integrations, this may include categories such as:
- workout data;
- exercise sessions;
- heart rate and related fitness metrics;
- active energy or calories;
- body weight;
- steps;
- sleep-related data;
- other health and fitness data that your device or operating system makes available to the Services and that you authorize us to access.
We only access categories you authorize. You may revoke permissions at any time through your device or operating-system settings.
Your body mass, whether read from your device or entered by you, stays on your device to calculate Crucible Effort. If you add Effort to a ranked Crux attempt, your body mass, rounded to the nearest pound or half kilogram, and the loads you entered are sent to our servers so the score can be recomputed and ranked. They are never shown to other users; a leaderboard shows only your handle, Effort, time and tier.
E. Subscription and Purchase Information
We may collect limited records relating to:
- subscription status;
- entitlement restoration;
- purchase verification;
- app-store product identifiers;
- merchandise transactions and order records.
In-app subscription payment processing is handled by the applicable app marketplace, such as Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment card details for those marketplace purchases.
F. Technical, Diagnostic, and Usage Information
We may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
- device identifiers;
- app instance identifiers;
- crash logs;
- diagnostics and error reports;
- analytics events;
- interaction and feature usage data;
- technical metadata about app performance and sessions;
- IP address and similar network information where applicable.
We do not currently collect precise location data through the Services unless we specifically ask for it in the future.
G. Handles, Leaderboards, Crews and Gyms
Crucible’s leaderboards, crews and gyms are visible to other people. Only the information below is shown to them. Your name, email address, health data and body mass are never shown to other users.
- Handle. To appear on a leaderboard or join a crew or gym, you choose a handle and agree to our community standard. Your handle is stored on our servers and is shown to other users wherever your results appear.
- Leaderboards. When you submit a ranked Crux attempt, the leaderboard shows other users your handle, time, tier, the date of the attempt and, if you added it, your Crucible Effort.
- Crews and gyms. When you start or join a crew or gym, we store the group, its name, its members, and each member’s role and equipment division. Members see the group’s name, each other’s handles, and the group’s board of members’ results. A gym’s owner or coaches may show its board on a screen at the gym. A signed-in user who has a group’s invite link or code can see its name and number of members before joining.
- Reports and blocks. When you report a handle, result or group, we store your report, including the reason and any note you add, and use it to review the content. The user you report is not told who reported them. When you block a user, the block is stored with your account so their handle and results stay hidden from your boards; they are not told.
Section 3
How We Use Information
We may use information we collect to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- generate workouts, suggestions, explanations, summaries, and related outputs;
- save workout history, notes, and logs;
- show your handle and results on leaderboards and to the members of crews and gyms you join;
- review reports, enforce our community standard, and remove content or handles that violate it;
- sync with health and fitness frameworks when authorized by you;
- restore subscriptions and verify access entitlements;
- process and fulfill merchandise-related activity;
- communicate with you about the Services, including support, account, operational, transactional, and service messages;
- send push notifications, emails, or text messages where permitted;
- analyze reliability, usage, feature adoption, and app performance;
- improve and develop the Services;
- detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security issues, and technical issues;

Section 4
Automated Processing
Certain features of the Services may use automated processing to generate workouts, explanations, substitutions, summaries, and related outputs based on your inputs, training history, permissions, connected device data, and related factors.
These outputs are intended to support the user experience. They are not medical advice and may not be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every user.
Section 6
Analytics, Tracking, and Similar Technologies
We may use analytics and similar technologies to understand how users interact with the Services, improve performance, measure campaigns, support attribution, and inform product decisions.
We do not currently include third-party in-app advertising SDKs for targeted advertising in the Services. We may, however, use website, attribution, analytics, pixels, or similar tracking technologies on marketing surfaces now or in the future, in accordance with applicable law.
We do not currently sell personal information to data brokers.
Section 7
Health and Sensitive Data
Some information processed through the Services may relate to your fitness activity, workouts, body weight, heart rate, sleep, or other health-related metrics that you choose to enter, authorize, or connect through your device.
We process this information only to operate, support, improve, and provide the Services to you, and for the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Crucible is not a HIPAA-covered entity and the Services are not a HIPAA-covered service.
Section 8
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain accounts, support legitimate business operations, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect security, and enforce our agreements.
If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is necessary for:
- legal compliance;
- fraud prevention or security;
- subscription, entitlement, or purchase recordkeeping;
- tax, accounting, and audit purposes;
- dispute resolution or enforcement;
- other lawful internal uses permitted by applicable law.
Deleting your account removes your handle, your rows on every leaderboard, and your crew and gym memberships. A crew or gym you own passes to another member, or is deleted if you were its only member. Reports you filed, and the decisions we made on reports, are kept as records of our moderation.
Section 9
De-Identification and Aggregation
We may de-identify, aggregate, or otherwise transform information so that it no longer reasonably identifies you. We may use and retain de-identified or aggregated information for lawful business purposes, including analytics, research, product improvement, and reporting.
We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except where permitted by applicable law.
Section 10

Section 13

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your home jurisdiction.
You are responsible for determining whether use of the Services is lawful in your jurisdiction.
Section 14
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Section 15
Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services, including app marketplaces, sign-in providers, device and health frameworks, analytics providers, commerce platforms, and fulfillment providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
