FAQ
One authored functional fitness workout: 6 to 12 stations, each with a rep target, and the Crux between every station in place of rest. Sessions run from about 15 to about 90 minutes.
Finish it and you get your time, your splits and a mark that never expires.
A short timed effort between every station: a hold, a carry or a crawl, on a clock you didn't start. It needs no distance, no machine and no GPS.
The Crux is the same movement for everyone on a given day. You can choose your own, or switch it off, but then the run is yours rather than the week's.
Same spirit, different venue. HYROX and Spartan DEKA are events you train for and travel to. Crucible Fit is a test you run where you are, every day, with a ranked Crucible each week on top.
Two honest differences: there is no running, and there are no sleds or machines. Every Crucible runs on bodyweight, dumbbells or kettlebells in one spot, which is why it fits a living room or a hotel room.
Crucible Fit is not affiliated with or endorsed by HYROX or Spartan DEKA.
No. Every Crucible has a bodyweight version, and the kit you own decides your division: bodyweight, dumbbells or kettlebells.
Tap ‘Too much?’ mid-session to cut the remaining targets, drop the Crux, or finish the current lap. The session still counts, and your targets adjust.
On top of your daily Crucible, each week has a ranked Crucible for your division. Run it any day from Monday 5 am to 2 am Sunday night, local time, exactly as written, and your time enters that week's field. Your fastest time stands. Saturday is when the field gathers.
The app tells you when a ranked result is on the board, and tracks your ranked weeks in a row.
Heart rate recorded across the attempt by any device that writes to Apple Health, such as Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop or a chest strap, or an observer's code.
Without either, the mark still counts in your own record.
No. A mark records that you finished to standard, and it never expires.
Handles are private by design. Report and block tools exist, and a person reads every report.
It reads your sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate and training load to choose today's Crucible, starting from your last 28 days of history.
For roughly the first week it shows your score without a verdict, until it has your own baseline. Crucible Fit is not a medical service, and its readiness score is not a medical measurement.
Yes. Sign in and your training syncs across your devices.
No. The Watch mirrors the session your iPhone runs. For a ranked time, any device that records heart rate to Apple Health counts, or an observer can confirm it.
No. Voice cues call the work only. Your music keeps playing at full volume and dips only while a cue is spoken.
Your first Crucible is on us: the whole session, nothing trimmed. After that it's $14.99 a month with a 7-day trial, or $119.99 a year with a 14-day trial. US pricing; the App Store shows yours.
One subscription covers everything, and nothing else is sold.
Not yet. Crucible Fit is on iPhone and Apple Watch today, and it is coming to Android.
